Getting Ready for Adventure Day Camp

by Rachel Werner

What you need to know before your first day of Adventure Day Camp:
• Drop off your camper behind the main assembly building at the big white tent. Follow the paved driveway that goes behind the right side of the main assembly building. You cannot miss the tent.
• A parent or guardian must sign each child in at the time of drop off. *
• There is a 15-minute grace period. If you drop your camper off before 8:45 a.m., you will be charged an extended day fee.
• For campers who are Extended Day, they will be served breakfast only if they arrive by 8:00 a.m.
• Please put your child’s name on all of his/her belongings.
• ADC campers will eat lunch at 12:30 each day. Because they have the latest lunchtime, their snack time is scheduled in the morning. Both lunch and snack are included in the price of camp. If for some reason you camper cannot (or will not) eat the lunch provided at camp, you may send a lunch with them each day.
• A snack is provided at Canteen. Pre-purchased canteen cards can be used to purchase any additional (not as healthy) snacks.
• ADC swim time is from 2:30-4:15 pm each day.
• Campers will be back at the tent by 4:30 pm each day for pick-up. If you need to pick your camper up early, please let staff know at the morning drop off that day. They will be able to let you know where you can pick-up your camper.
• A parent or guardian must sign each camper out at the time of pick-up. *
• There is a 15-minute grace period. If you pick your camper up after 4:45 pm you will be charged an extended day fee.

*If someone other than a parent or guardian is picking-up or dropping off your camper, you must notify camp staff ahead of time.

What to Bring to Adventure Day Camp
Send your camper with the following items each day:
• Bible
• Swimsuit,
• Towel,
• Flip-flops or Pool Shoes,
• Sunblock,
• Bug Spray,
• Water Bottle.
*Please note: there are water coolers placed around camp for your campers to get a drink or refill their water bottles throughout the day.

Please put your child’s name on all of his/her belongings! Personal items can sometimes get misplaced or lost. They are more likely to be returned if they have a name on them.
